Michael C. Gerson is a Private Wealth Stategist at Raymond James. He has over 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on estate planning, trust and estate administration, charitable planning, and individual income tax. Michael is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a group of more than 2,400 attorneys, peer-elected to membership. He is known nationally and respected for his legal knowledge.
Michael has spoken frequently and published numerous articles on topics of interest to trust and estate professionals. He served on the Executive Committee of the Trust and Estate Section of the State Bar of California (now of the California Lawyers Association) and was the Editor of the California Trusts and Estates Quarterly.
Michael obtained his law degree from the University of California, Davis and an LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He is licensed to practice in California, Colorado (inactive), Florida (inactive) and the United States Tax Court. He loves to travel, having visited all 50 states, 5 continents, and more than half of all U.S. national parks.
